Crypto Square: A Cryptographic Typeface

Much of our personal information can be easily accessed through the internet with just a few clicks. Therefore cryptography plays an important role, especially nowadays, in protecting information from being accessed by third parties, and protecting private messages from the public by encrypting readable information into something that is unreadable.

Rubik’s Cube is a type of puzzle that uses its structure and pieces to scramble and unscramble its original form. This is a similar technique that is used in cryptography but with more interaction from the user.

A new typeface is created, Crypto Square, by combining a system of cryptography with the structure of Rubik’s Cube. Crypto Square is a typeface that not only can secure personal communication, but also is a typeface that we can interact with in a playful way similar to a Rubik’s Cube.
